16-Week Internship at IBM as a Junior Associate.

My Experience

Thanks to a partnership between Edith Cowan University (ECU) and IBM, I had the opportunity to complete my studies with a 16-week paid internship. I learned a lot during that time, but the best part was meeting so many brilliant and inspiring people!

Each intern in my cohort was assigned to an IBM client. I worked with Water Corporation as a tester on an internal project aimed at improving their Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM).

Through my client work, I learned how to use Jira and ServiceNow, as well as the proper procedures large corporations use to conduct thorough and effective testing. I also gained experience with Figma, a design tool for prototyping web pages and apps.

Interactive Journal!

As part of my studies, my internship counted for 2 Units, requiring me to create a journal tracking my experience. Staying true to my game development background, I made it interactive. I also used this opportunity to learn something new by creating my first WebGL project in Unity.

You can play the interactive journal right now! Control a character (me) walking through each day of my internship, revealing text and images about my experience at IBM. Plus, you get to collect coffee along the way!
